    Reactor

          Two pressurised water reactors, model OK-700 with a VM-4 type reactor core
          generating 2 x 90 MWt. Shaft power 2 x 20 000 hp. There are 250 fuel assemblies.

          Twelve (12) RSM-40/R-29 O type missiles (SS-N-12).

     Construction Yard

          Ten (10) Delta-I submarines were built at Severodvinsk in the period from 1971 to 1976.
          Another eight were built in Komsomolsk from 1974 to 1977.

          K-279 - Commissioned in 1972. To the Northern Fleet on Dec 22. Factory no.310.
                        Laid down in 1971. Launched in 1972.
          K-447 - Commissioned in 1973. Factory no. 311. Still in use today.
                        The submarine was defuelled in 1994
                        The spent fuel transferred to the service ship PM-63 in Severodvinsk.
          K-450 - Commissioned in 1973. Factory no.312
K-385 - Commissioned in 1974. Factory no.324
K-457 - Commissioned in 1974. Factory no.325. Still in service.
K-465 - Commissioned in 1974. Factory no.326
K-460 - Commissioned in 1975. Factory no.337
K-472 - Commissioned in 1975. Factory no.338
